commis I Tandoor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Commis I Tandoor to join our culinary team in Gurugram this entry-level kitchen position you will work under the guidance of experienced chefs to prepare authentic tandoori dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. • Prepare tandoori dishes according to established recipes portion sizes and presentation standards
• Operate and maintain the tandoor oven ensuring proper temperature control and consistent cooking results
• Perform mise en place duties at the tandoor station organizing and preparing all necessary ingredients and equipment
• Assist senior chefs with food preparation cooking and plating of tandoori specialties
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene protocols including proper handling storage and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment
• Support the overall kitchen operations to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours
• Clean and sanitize the tandoor station cooking equipment and work surfaces according to organizational standards
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to meet service demands and maintain quality consistency
• Follow all food safety regulations and organizational procedures

Qualifications :

• Basic knowledge of tandoori cooking techniques and Indian cuisine
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Time management and organizational abilities
• Preferred: Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary setting
• Preferred: Experience operating tandoor ovens or similar cooking equipment
• Preferred: Food handler certification or equivalent food safety training
