Key Responsibilities:

Operate machines as per SOP work instructions and process parameters.
Set and adjust machine parameters such as speed feed pressure temperature etc. as applicable.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring instruments.
Maintain required dimensional accuracy and product quality.
Identify and report machine abnormalities defects and process deviations.
Perform basic machine cleaning lubrication and autonomous maintenance activities.
Follow 5S standards and maintain a clean and organized workplace.
Achieve daily/shift-wise production targets while maintaining quality.
Reduce machine idle time setup time rejection and material wastage.
Record production quantities rejections downtime and other required data.
Follow all safety procedures PPE requirements and EHS standards.
Support Kaizen continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing activities.
Coordinate with the supervisor quality maintenance and other departments for smooth production.
Properly hand over machine/process status to the next shift operator.

Required Skills/experience:

Basic knowledge of machine operation and manufacturing processes.
Ability to read drawings and work instructions.
Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier calliper micrometre height gauge etc.
Basic problem-solving and defect identification skills.
Understanding of 5S Kaizen TPM and Lean manufacturing is an advantage.
Good discipline teamwork and communication skills.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
1-2 years of experience in a CNC machine shop
