Description

We are seeking a Clinical Informaticist to join our dynamic team at Oracle America this role you will play a crucial part in our Oracle Health Prod Mgmt - Data Prediction department ensuring the accuracy and integrity of medical annotations. Your clinical expertise and attention to detail will be instrumental in supporting our AI/ML and healthcare data projects contributing to the development of innovative healthcare solutions.

Required Experience

  • Clinical experience or education in nursing medicine and surgery pharmacy laboratory sciences respiratory therapy health information management medical coding or another healthcare-related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in healthcare clinical operations medical coding quality assurance healthcare technology or related healthcare environments.
  • Familiarity with clinical documentation and healthcare terminology.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and patient care processes.
  • Ability to accurately interpret clinical documentation and healthcare concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems processes and technologies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the US healthcare system

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to data annotation quality assurance healthcare analytics AI/ML NLP or healthcare technology projects.
  • Exposure to electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Experience reviewing healthcare records quality measures clinical documentation or medical coding.
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminologies such as ICD CPT SNOMED CT LOINC or RxNorm.
  • Bachelors degree in a healthcare life sciences health informatics or related field preferred.


Responsibilities
  • Perform medical annotations following established guidelines ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Review annotations for quality identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on annotated clinical datasets maintaining high standards.
  • Apply clinical knowledge to validate healthcare concepts and relationships in annotated data.
  • Assist in maintaining annotation documentation and keeping guidelines up-to-date.
  • Participate in calibration exercises and training to enhance annotation skills.
  • Support clinical review processes for AI/ML projects reviewing outputs and documenting findings.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team including annotators clinical experts and engineers.
  • Stay informed about healthcare terminology clinical standards and annotation best practices.
