Client Engineer

The Collaboration Tools team builds and enhances Zillow Groups internal communication and productivity platforms enabling seamless collaboration and supporting business agility across the company. As a Client Engineer youll help drive innovation and ensure our teams stay connected and productive.

We are seeking an experienced professional to support our workforce expansion in India.

As a Client Engineer you will use your technical expertise to support maintain and advance our suite of collaboration tools. Your work will directly impact productivity and employee experience across Zillow empowering teams to work more efficiently and collaboratively.

• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for collaboration platforms (e.g. Google Workspace Microsoft 365 Slack Zoom Atlassian etc.).

• Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to enhance system reliability and user efficiency.

• Manage configure and optimize client-side components of collaboration applications.

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

• Proactively monitor system performance identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

• Mentor junior team members fostering professional growth and technical excellence.

• Stay abreast of industry trends proactively recommending and implementing innovations to enhance our collaboration capabilities.

This role has been categorized as an Office position. Office employees regularly work at the Zillow India office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Zillow has not defined a reasonable distance and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.

In addition to a competitive base pay employees in this role are eligible for incentive compensation subject to applicable laws and relevant Zillow policies. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience performance and location.

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5 years of hands-on experience supporting and engineering collaboration and productivity tools.

• Strong knowledge of Google Workspace Slack Zoom Atlassian or similar enterprise collaboration platforms.

• Expertise in scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Python) and automation frameworks.

• Strong understanding of AI tools (generative agentive etc.) and how they can enable users to get the best out of our platforms.

• Exceptional analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a user-centric mindset.

• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
