Job Summary
CICS Mainframes Admin
CICS Administrator (CICS System Programmer):
6 years of experience as a CICS Administrator/System Programmer with experience in managing CICS regions across multiple Systems/LPARs.
Knowledge of all CICS parameters that control performance in a CICSPlex environment.
Knowledge of CICS SMF record structure and the CICS Performance Analyzer tool to gather statistics necessary to tune CICS regions.
Experience with CICSPlex SM implementation & customization dynamic transaction routing etc.
Exposure to installation upgrade and maintenance of CICS and related products.
Set up and maintain CICS regions & analyzing CICS system logs.
Defining/Maintaining CICS system tables.
Assembler and COBOL coding and knowledge of CICS Exits
Web application support in a CICS TS V5 environment
Using traces in problem determination and formatting and interpreting trace entries.
Ability to perform problem determination dump analysis and performance tuning on CICS regions.
Should have a sound understanding and working knowledge of z/OS TSO ISPF SMP/E DB2 JCL and basic COBOL scripting.
Understanding of zOS facilities such as: APF Linklist VSAM LPA Coupling Facility
Having a knowledge in Mainframe MQ Administration is a plus.
Working knowledge of the zOS & CICS Explorer
Good understanding of ITIL modules like Incident Management Change Management Problem Management
