Business Head Energy Process Sales

We are looking for a for an Inspirational leader to spearhead as Business Head - Energy Process Sales in India partnering closely with the business leaders and managers. Energy Division is a strategic pillar of Alfa Laval India to achieve our growth ambition for the coming years.

The Energy Division focuses on delivering solutions that promote greater energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact for customers in industries such as HVAC and refrigeration renewable energy data centers oil & gas petrochemicals refining and power generation. division supports customers across the value chain through advanced heat exchanger technologies and separation solutions enabling energy optimization heat recovery and sustainable operations in both traditional and emerging energy markets

Role Description

This role will strategically steer the Indian Energy Process Industries sales organization toward achieving a market-defining revenue milestone by 2030. This leadership mandate centers on inspiring a high-performing 30 member pan-India team to secure high-value business across prominent EPC firms key accounts & end customers while engineering a resilient delivery ecosystem through robust factory S&OP integration and collaborative divisional business unit partnerships. Crucially the position serves as the primary catalyst for the companys future-readinessarchitecting a technically advanced sales and backend support infrastructure while accelerating Cleantech portfolio penetration to establish the organization as Indias premier energy transition partner.

Key elements of the Role involve

Strategic Sales Leadership & Team Management

• Provide visionary leadership to a 30member pan-India matrixed team comprising regional sales managers key account managers and application solution engineers.
• Set clear performance targets structure geographic and vertical territories and foster a high-performance culture through continuous coaching mentoring and capability building.
• Design and execute a comprehensive pan-India sales strategy aligned with macroeconomic shifts localized market demands and organizational profitability goals.

Big EPC & Key Account Management

• Personally own nurture and scale C-level relationships within Indias largest EPC contractors public sector undertakings (PSUs) and prominent private developers in the energy sector.
• Drive institutional selling mechanisms securing early-stage specification positioning and high-value project wins for large-scale energy infrastructure setups.
• Develop strategic multi-year account plans for Tier-1 key accounts to secure recurring business maximizing the companys share of wallet.

Cleantech Business Acceleration

• Spearhead the commercialization and market penetration of Cleantech portfolios including green hydrogen carbon capture industrial electrification and renewable energy integration solutions.
• Identify emerging market trends regulatory incentives and sustainability mandates within Indian process industries to position the company as a preferred energy transition partner.
• Build strategic go-to-market models tailored to the unique procurement cycles of the decarbonization sector.

Ecosystem & Partner Management

• Oversee align and manage external application solution providers system integrators and channel partners to extend market reach and deliver customized engineering solutions.
• Ensure partner capabilities are continuously upgraded to represent complex technological offerings effectively.
• Collaborate closely with global product management supply chain and local engineering teams to customize application solutions for the Indian market landscape.

Operational Excellence & Governance

• Establish rigorous sales governance using CRM tools ensuring pipeline visibility accurate forecasting and data-driven decision-making.
• Lead high-value commercial and technical contract negotiations minimizing organizational risk while ensuring healthy profit margins.
• Track market intelligence competitor movement and regulatory shifts across Indian energy policies (e.g. National Green Hydrogen Mission) to proactively pivot sales tactics.

Strategic Skills & Leadership Profile

• Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical Industrial Electrical or Chemical). An MBA in Sales & Marketing from a premier institute is highly preferred.
• Experience: 18 to 25 years of industrial B2B & B2C sales experience within the Energy Power Oil & Gas Chemical or Heavy Process Industries in India or in global
• Leadership: Minimum 7 years of experience leading large distributed multitiered teams (size of 20 professionals).
• Industry Networks: Proven verifiable relationships with major Indian EPCs (e.g. L&T Hydrocarbon Tata Projects BHEL Technip Petrofac) and end-users (e.g. Reliance IOCL BPCL NTPC NPCIL BHEL Decan Megha).
• Technical Domain: Deep understanding of industrial process equipment application solutions automated systems and a strong exposure to Cleantech/sustainability technologies.
