Business Development Manager
Job Summary
This role is responsible for driving national sales strategy revenue growth and key account management across Accor hotels in India and South Asia. The position focuses on acquiring retaining and growing corporate MICE (Meetings Incentives Conferences & Exhibitions) sports wedding entertainment leisure and government business while ensuring profitability and strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Lead proactive and reactive sales activities for existing and new clients.
- Drive revenue and sales targets across corporate MICE sports wedding and entertainment segments.
- Manage RFP and LNR (Local Negotiated Rate) contracting processes.
- Develop and execute sales budgets and commercial strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Promote Accor brands loyalty programs and network strengths.
- Represent Accor at industry events trade shows and networking functions.
- Track opportunities conversions and sales performance through CRM tools.
Revenue & Financial Management
- Achieve national sales revenue targets and budget objectives.
- Improve regional revenue performance and market share.
- Monitor profitability and control costs while maintaining service standards.
- Negotiate commercially beneficial agreements for hotels.
Account Management & Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional service to corporate and event clients.
- Resolve client issues complaints and operational concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with company contract terms and commercial policies.
- Maintain long-term profitable customer relationships.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with General Managers Directors of Sales & Marketing Global Sales teams and Business Development Managers.
- Work across multiple hotels and departments to align sales strategies and revenue goals.
Key Challenges
- Achieving ambitious revenue targets across India & South Asia.
- Winning and retaining high-value corporate and MICE accounts.
- Balancing hotel profitability with competitive pricing.
- Managing complex negotiations and minimizing commercial risks.
- Ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (Preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry
- Strong user knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Salesforce tool Cvents & Connex
