Job Summary
We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager with a strong focus on penetration testing services. The role involves identifying new business opportunities building relationships with decision-makers and driving revenue growth by selling offensive security services to organisations across Australia.
- Drive new business sales for:
- Web Application Penetration Testing
- Network Penetration Testing
- Cloud & Infrastructure Security Testing
- API & Mobile Application Testing
- Web Application Penetration Testing
- Identify and engage key stakeholders (CIOs CISOs IT Managers Risk & Compliance Heads)
- Build and manage a strong pipeline through cold outreach LinkedIn referrals and partnerships
- Understand client environments and recommend appropriate pentesting solutions
- Collaborate with security consultants to define scope pricing and delivery timelines
- Prepare proposals SOWs and respond to RFPs/RFQs
- Own the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure
- Maintain long-term relationships to ensure repeat testing engagements (quarterly/annual)
- Track and report on sales performance using CRM tools
- Stay updated on cybersecurity threats vulnerabilities and compliance standards
- 36 years of B2B sales experience in IT or cybersecurity
- Proven experience selling penetration testing or vulnerability assessment services
- Strong understanding of:
- OWASP Top 10
- Common security vulnerabilities (XSS SQL Injection etc.)
- Basic pentesting methodologies
- OWASP Top 10
- Experience working with Australian clients preferred
- Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to convert technical offerings into clear business value
- Strong prospecting and closing skills (hunter mindset)
- Existing network of security or IT decision-makers in Australia
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001 SOC 2 PCI-DSS ASD Essential Eight)

This role requires expertise in cloud-based development and database management particularly with Cosmos DB and MongoDB alongside Azure DevOps for CI/CD processes. Key Responsibilities: Application Development: Design develop and maintain scalable applications using C# Core. Azure Integration: Develop and deploy applications on the Microsoft Azure platform utilising services such as Azure App Service Azure Functions and Azure Logic Apps. Database Management: Work with Cosmos DB and MongoDB for database operations optimization and troubleshooting. DevOps Practices: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to ensure seamless application deployment. Server Management: Manage and maintain application servers for hosting and scaling enterprise-grade applications.
