The Opportunity
As a Business Development Manager for High Voltage Switchgear you will drive sustainable growth by expanding Hitachi Energys market presence across GIS Hybrid AIS Circuit breakers Disconnectors and related high-voltage solutions by conducting Events and Presentations . The role requires a strong blend of Presentation skills commercial acumen market insight technical understanding and strategic engagement with End users like utilities Industries consultants and key stakeholders to position Hitachi Energy as the preferred partner .
How youll make an impact
Build and maintain strong relationships with Generation and Transmission Utilities EPCs industries consultants and channel partners at all relevant levels to understand business needs influence specifications New Projects updates and position tailored high-voltage switchgear solutions.
Working closely with consultants end users to Identify projects during inception stage and Product positioning activities.
Identify White Spots developing growth strategies focused on Hitachi Energy offerings.
Identify emerging opportunities monitor market trends competitor activities and customer investment plans and develop strategies to expand Hitachi Energys footprint in utility industry renewable infrastructure and data center segments.
Promote Hitachi Energys portfolio of Gas Insulated switchgears Ais Insulated switchgears include Circuit breakers Instrument
Transformers Disconnectors Hybrid switchgears etc. by driving early engagement technical positioning and value-base promotions through Presentations Webinars and Events.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering or a related field is required.
Minimum 812 years of experience in business development sales or key account management in the power transmission and distribution industry with strong exposure to high voltage switchgear products (66 KV and Above) such as GIS AIS circuit breakers disconnectors or substation solutions.
Presentation skills Conduct webinars and event stakeholder management and relationship-building.
Strong knowledge of high voltage switchgear products including GIS AIS circuit breakers disconnectors and substation applications.
Strong commercial acumen with experience in business planning opportunity qualification negotiation and strategic account development.
Ability to work independently lead customer discussions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
Willingness to travel extensively to client sites.
Good understanding of power sector standards utility buying processes tendering practices and regulatory requirements relevant to high voltage substation business.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
