Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced BMC Helix CMDB / Asset Management Consultant with strong expertise in CMDB architecture Asset Management data normalization reconciliation and software license lifecycle management. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with BMC Helix ITSM Atrium CMDB Atrium Integrator (Pentaho Spoon) and software asset/license compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design manage and maintain BMC Helix CMDB architecture aligned with Common Data Model (CDM) standards
• Manage IT Asset lifecycle within BMC Helix Asset Management / ITSM suite
• Configure and maintain hardware software and business service relationships in CMDB
• Implement and support CMDB data governance class hierarchy and CI relationship mapping
• Configure and optimize Normalization Engine (NE) for standardizing product catalog vendor names and software titles
• Develop and maintain Reconciliation Engine (RE) rules including Identify Merge and Purge processes
• Build map schedule and troubleshoot ETL jobs using Atrium Integrator / Pentaho Spoon
• Integrate external discovery tools such as BMC Client Management (BCM) into CMDB staging datasets
• Ensure data quality deduplication and compliance accuracy across multiple discovery sources
• Manage software asset lifecycle through BMC Helix Software Asset Management
• Configure software license models including Concurrent Per Core User-based SaaS and subscription licensing
• Support Helix Software License Engine compliance jobs reconciliation and audit readiness
• Collaborate with infrastructure discovery licensing and governance teams

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with BMC Helix ITSM / Remedy Asset Management
• Deep understanding of CMDB Common Data Model (CDM)
• Expertise in CMDB class hierarchy and CI relationship mapping
• Practical experience with Normalization Engine (NE)
• Strong knowledge of Reconciliation Engine (RE): Identify Merge Purge
• Hands-on experience with Atrium Integrator / Pentaho Spoon
• Experience integrating discovery tools like BCM or equivalent
• Asset lifecycle management expertise
• Data governance ETL and staging dataset troubleshooting

Preferred / Add-On Skills:

• BMC Helix Software Asset Lifecycle Management
• SW License Management Console
• Helix License Engine and compliance calculations
• License model configuration (Per Core Concurrent SaaS User-based etc.)
• ITIL / ITAM / SAM process understanding
• Experience with software compliance audits
