Job Summary
Championing revenue growth of company by taking lead in identifying developing and
managing new customers increase existing business expand customer base and thereby
contribute towards company's contract development and manufacturing services. The
role particularly focuses on onboarding new clients by building strategic relationships
with pharmaceutical biotechnology and healthcare companies in both innovation and
generic space. Act as interface between BD and Out sourcing team in external
environment and between BD and technical in internal environment
Key Responsibilities
Expansion of Business revenue
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within pharmaceutical biotech
specialty pharma and emerging healthcare sectors.
Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Generate and qualify leads through networking industry events referrals and market
research.
With legal and finance team work to finalize contracts and agreements
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with all 3rd party key decision-makers in BD &
procurement teams
Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients.
Understand clients scope of development and manufacturing requirements and
accordingly propose customized solutions
Ensure high customer satisfaction and support keeping long-term account growth in
focus
RFQ
Proposal & Contract Management
Coordinate with internal or external technical regulatory project management clinical
and manufacturing teams to prepare proposals and quotations
Lead commercial discussions pricing negotiations and contract execution
Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with company policies
Market and Competitive Intelligence
Monitor industry trends competitor activities emerging technologies and market
dynamics
Analyze opportunities in drug development clinical and commercial manufacturing
sterile products or other relevant service areas.
Provide market feedback to management to support strategic planning in order to drive
growth
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with R&D operations quality regulatory affairs and project management
teams.
Facilitate smooth onboarding and project handoff after contract award.
Support strategic initiatives partnerships and alliance development.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Sciences Pharmacy Biotechnology Chemistry
Business or a related field or MBA
Experience
Total 4-5 yrs in pharma or CDMO industry with 2-3 years of business development in a
CDMO CRO pharmaceutical or life sciences organization
Exposure in handling of B2B deals
Experience with contract manufacturing drug development biologics APIs
formulations or related services is desirable.
Skills
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical and biotechnology development and
manufacturing processes.
Excellent negotiation presentation and communication skills.
Ability to build relationships with cross functional stakeholders.
Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
Excel and business case building
Data mining
Ability to travel for client meetings conferences and industry events.
