Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer (Python / FastAPI) to design develop and maintain scalable secure and high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Python FastAPI API development database design and cloud-native architectures. Experience in building enterprise-grade applications within fintech or other regulated industries is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain backend applications using Python and FastAPI.
• Build secure scalable and high-performance RESTful APIs WebSockets and microservices.
• Design optimize and maintain databases using PostgreSQL MySQL or MongoDB.
• Implement authentication authorization and secure coding practices using JWT OAuth2 encryption and industry security standards.
• Optimize application performance scalability and reliability.
• Develop clean maintainable and well-documented code with comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with Frontend DevOps QA and Product teams in Agile development cycles.
• Deploy monitor troubleshoot and support production environments.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture and technical design discussions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and the FastAPI framework.
• Hands-on experience in developing REST APIs WebSockets or gRPC services.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL MySQL or MongoDB including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience with SQLAlchemy ORM frameworks and asynchronous programming (asyncio).
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker Kubernetes CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with message brokers such as RabbitMQ Kafka or Redis is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices authentication mechanisms and API security.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in FinTech Banking or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of API gateways service mesh and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack or similar platforms.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as PyTest.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Ansible) is a plus.
