AVP Tech & Digital Lead Data Scientist with a Leading Pvt Sector Bank

Job Role
This role focuses on transforming raw data into valuable insights to drive organizational growth and competitive advantage. You will interpret and analyze data from multiple sources to devise innovative solutions and build AI models and applications that address complex banking business problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product development efforts specifically focusing on Machine Learning Engineer tasks.
• Build train and deploy ML models for inferencing developing surrounding APIs for both cloud and on-premise access.
• Develop ML-based applications for the bank leveraging a variety of machine learning techniques.
• Design and deploy ML applications in the cloud utilizing NLP LLMs and supervised learning methodologies.
• Gain a deep understanding of the banks data domain to conduct Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and generate Management Information (MI) reports informing the design and development of ML applications.
• Leverage data to create significant impact within the banks economic ecosystem and the broader Indian financial space.

Education - Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Data Science Machine Learning or a relevant quantitative field.
- A graduate degree in Data Science or another quantitative field is preferred.

Experience: 11 years of proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with cloud-based deployments.
• Expertise in Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) Natural Language Processing (NLP) Topic Modeling Named Entity Recognition (NER) Embedding models and Semantic Search techniques.
• Working knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) via APIs (e.g. OpenAI) and experience deploying open-source LLMs (e.g. LLAMA2 FLAN T5).
• Proficiency with the LangChain framework and FastAPI for Python.
• Working experience with Cloud platforms (preferably Azure); an understanding of MLOps frameworks is a plus.
• Knowledge of Classification and Q&A networks using BERT.
• Strong knowledge of TensorFlow and PyTorch frameworks.
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop) is a plus.
• Understanding of machine learning and operations research principles.
• Strong analytical mindset business acumen and problem-solving ability.
