Automated Quality Engineer – Fineos API Integrations

We are seeking a talented Automated Quality Engineer to join our team focusing on the quality security and integrity of enterprise APIs and integrations. In this role you will design develop and execute test automation strategies for FastAPI/Python-based APIs and their integrations with 3rd-party insurance and claims systems.

You will be a key contributor to the CI/CD pipeline ensuring that APIs and integrations meet the highest standards of reliability performance and compliance. The ideal candidate brings strong test automation expertise a deep understanding of API testing methodologies and hands-on Python experience.

• Design and implement end-to-end test automation frameworks for REST APIs in Python (FastAPI).

• Develop execute and maintain automated test suites for functional integration regression and performance testing.

• Collaborate with developers API Integration Engineers and business analysts to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for continuous quality checks.

• Perform API security and performance testing including vulnerability and load testing on APIs and gateways (APIM KONG).

• Validate data integrity and accuracy in integrations with proper handling of PII.

• Contribute to TDD practices and provide guidance on QA best practices.

• Identify document and track defects partnering with the development team for timely resolution.

• 3 years in an automated QA / Quality Engineering role with a strong focus on API testing.

• 2 years of hands-on experience testing Python APIs (FastAPI framework).

• Proven experience with test automation tools (Postman Jest Vitest or similar).

• Strong understanding of REST API principles API security and performance testing methodologies.

• Experience testing enterprise system integrations.

• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines for test automation using GitHub Actions.

• Proficiency with Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration.

• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2 Lambda S3) for testing and deployment validation.

• Solid understanding of insurance workflows and business processes.

• Excellent communication skills and experience working in Agile SDLC environments.

• Experience with enterprise system integrations such as Fineos SAP CPAY FileNet or CoFax.

• Exposure to AI technologies (e.g. GitHub Copilot) for test automation or development assistance.
