Asst. Manager Welfare

Job Responsibilities:  

Welfare Facility & transportation:

• Manage day to Facilities upkeep & canteen operations. He should manage vendor contracts as a primary statutory welfare service ensuring high standards of food hygiene quality and subsidized nutritional offerings for all workers.

•  Oversee employee transportation including e.i staff buses taxis and company vehicles to ensure safe reliable daily commuting for a smooth employee experience.

• Manage plant facilities timely uniform distribution printing/stationery and overall site amenities to maintain a functional comfortable working environment.

• Manage and govern welfare budgets (Capex and Opex) oversee purchasing/contract renewals and track vendor performance to ensure uninterrupted delivery of worker-centric services.

• Oversee plant security operations and implement the Structured Security Operating Manual and SOPs to protect employees conduct site audits and maintain business continuity.

Statutory compliance & liaison:

• Directly manage and maintain statutory welfare provisions under statutory code driving occupational health and hygiene in collaboration with safety officers through periodic health surveillance worker medical examinations clean drinking water supply gender-segregated latrines/urinals and PPE utilization monitoring.

• Oversee 100% worker enrollment under ESI and EPF schemes process Maternity Benefit applications manage Workmens Compensation claims and advise workers on leave gratuity and statutory entitlements.

• Maintain direct relations with government administration and statutory authoritiesincluding the District Collectorate Labour/Factory Inspectors Police and local bodiesto ensure full legal compliance best practice adoption and smooth plant operations.

Engagement & grievance handling:

•  Resolve worker grievances maintain the Welfare Complaints Register counsel employees on personal or domestic challenges and facilitate active Works Committee and Joint Welfare Committee meetings.

•  Conduct orientation sessions for new hires lead health/safety awareness drives and organize employee engagement sports and cultural events to foster workplace morale.

Qualifications :

Qualifications:  

The incumbent should be a graduate with a Degree or Diploma in Social Work / Labour Welfare / Personnel Management / Social Science from a recognised institution. 

The incumbent should have handled welfare activities for manufacturing set up in the past for a minimum two years. 

The incumbent should be proactive self-driven & energetic. The incumbent must be a good team player & enthusiastic. He should have good communication skills &  minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
