Windows & Linux L2 Support
Role Overview We are seeking a skilled L2 Support Engineer with expertise in both Windows and Linux environments to provide advanced troubleshooting incident resolution and system administration support. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability of enterprise applications and infrastructure working closely with L3 when required in 24*7 support environment. Key Responsibilities Provide L2 support for Windows and Linux servers. Troubleshoot escalated incidents (P1/P2) and perform root cause analysis (RCA). Administer Linux servers (Red Hat Ubuntu CentOS) including log rotation and performance tuning. Execute Windows disk expansion perform VM reconfiguration and manage application deployment and removal processes
Monitor system health using tools like Datadog BMC Truesight & Splunk. Coordinate with L3/engineering teams for fixes when necessary. Document incidents RCA and solutions in ServiceNow. Ensure compliance with ITIL processes (Incident Problem Change Management). Support backup recovery and patch management across Windows/Linux servers. Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and Shell scripting will be added advantage.
Required Skills & Experience 36 years of experience in Windows/Linux system administration and application support. Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions. Hands-on experience with Active Directory DNS DHCP Group Policy. Proficiency in PowerShell and Shell scripting for automation. Knowledge of VMware concepts (VM ESXi Datastore Snapshot basics)
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) for monitoring and troubleshooting. Strong troubleshooting skills in multi-tier architectures (Application Server Database OS). Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience with tools like ServiceNow/JIRA.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in computer science IT or related field. Microsoft Certified (Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate MCSA/MCSE) or its equivalent. Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent Linux certification. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate VMware Certified Professional Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)

Should be able to work on both Windows and Linux platforms. Ability to follow SOPs with accuracy
