Job Summary
Trade Support Manager
## About the Role
- Lead and motivate a team of 5-8 staff per shift providing support guidance and mentoring including performance appraisals and monthly 1-to-1 meetings.
- Supervise and maintain control over daily Business As Usual (BAU) operations and ongoing projects.
- Play a leading role in projects focused on process and system improvements cost reduction and efficiency savings.
- Act as an authorizer and releaser for various systems and serve as a primary escalation point for the shift and the department when required.
- Provide coverage during staff leave and assist/cover other managers and Associate Directors as needed.
## Key Responsibilities
- Manage trade bookings and processing.
- Handle trade confirmations and contract notes.
- Perform static and reference data maintenance.
- Execute FX processing.
- Review and document procedures and process maps.
- Actively manage day-to-day issues and queries from internal and external parties escalating as necessary.
- Coordinate with regional trade support groups traders and customers to resolve queries and issues.
- Actively participate in Change Management and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Address reconciliation issues.
- Train new and junior staff on new tasks work development or process changes.
- Implement changes in work scope to meet business organizational and regulatory needs.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks and ensure timely delivery of work.
## Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience within the securities industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various levels of management.
- Detailed and working knowledge of trade processing/contracting processes reference/static data maintenance and related procedures.
- Direct experience in Global Markets or Middle Office experience will be given special consideration.
- Experience and knowledge of Global equity markets practices procedures and trends especially from a Sell side perspective are highly valued.
- Ability to multi-task across various business and department initiatives.
- Willingness and ability to challenge existing processes and procedures and propose appropriate and necessary changes.
- Adept with IT capable of specifying business requirements for enhancements or replacements of existing or new applications.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and experience using operational systems/applications common in the securities industry including ALERT OASYS and FXALL.
- Ability to obtain Series 99 examination licensing.
- Flexibility to work in Asia / EU / US shifts depending on business requirements.
