We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Transport Manager to oversee and manage all transportation-related operations within our organization. This position requires an individual with strong ETS knowledge leadership abilities and a hands-on approach to ensuring the smooth functioning of the transportation department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of transportation ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods.
• Supervise and coordinate a team of drivers ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Develop and implement efficient routes and schedules for transportation.
• Optimize transportation costs while maintaining high service levels.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure effective communication and resolution of any transportation-related issues.
• Conduct regular safety training and ensure drivers adhere to safety protocols.
• Manage the budgeting and financial planning for transportation operations ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of drivers providing feedback and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Handle transportation-related customer complaints or issues resolving them in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with transportation partners and vendors.
• Utilize transportation management software (including MoveInSync) to track vehicle performance and routes.
• Optimize fleet utilization and ensure maximum efficiency in transportation operations.
• Conduct periodic audits to identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to increase productivity.
• Prepare and present transportation-related reports to senior management providing insights and recommending improvements.

Additional Requirements:

• Night Shift Availability: This position will require the candidate to work in night shifts on a regular basis.
• MoveInSync Knowledge: Familiarity with MoveInSync software is mandatory.
