Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and target-oriented Assistant Sales Manager (ASM) to drive insurance sales manage a sales team develop distribution channels and achieve business targets. The candidate will be responsible for customer acquisition team productivity partner management and ensuring strong market penetration.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly quarterly and annual sales and revenue targets.
- Recruit train mentor and manage Insurance Advisors/Agents/Sales Executives.
- Generate new business through direct sales referrals and local market activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and channel partners.
- Monitor daily sales activities lead conversion and team performance.
- Conduct regular field visits and support the team in customer meetings.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Ensure proper follow-up on leads and maximize conversion ratios.
- Educate customers about suitable insurance products such as Life Insurance Health .
- Ensure compliance with company policies IRDAI guidelines and sales processes.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and provide performance updates to the reporting manager.
- Handle customer queries and coordinate with internal teams for smooth policy issuance and servicing.
- Drive persistency renewals cross-selling and up-selling initiatives.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in Life insurance sales and direct/channel sales.
- Experience in team handling and target achievement preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good negotiation and convincing abilities.
- Ability to generate business through field sales and relationship management.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Comfortable with field work and local-market visits.
- Basic knowledge of insurance products and sales processes.
- Good understanding of MS Excel/CRM systems.
