Assistant Manager People and Development
Job Summary
The Assistant Manager People & Development at Roswyn A Morgans Original Hotel will support the People & Development function in managing day-to-day people operations employee engagement talent acquisition learning and development and employee relations. The role will work closely with department heads to ensure effective people practices and a positive employee experience in line with Roswyn and Morgans Originals values.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Support recruitment activities across departments as per operational requirements.
- Coordinate with department heads for manpower requirements and recruitment closures.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new employees.
- Maintain recruitment records trackers and employee documentation.
Learning & Development
- Coordinate and support training programs to enhance employee skills and service standards.
- Assist in planning and executing induction and orientation programs.
- Maintain training records and support employee development initiatives.
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Support employee engagement activities and initiatives across the hotel.
- Promote a positive inclusive and collaborative work environment.
- Address employee queries and concerns professionally and escalate matters where required.
- Support People & Development initiatives that reflect Roswyns values and culture.
Performance & Talent Management
- Support the performance appraisal process and ensure timely completion.
- Assist in identifying development needs and career growth opportunities.
- Maintain performance and talent management records.
- Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
People Operations & Compliance
- Support day-to-day People & Development operations and employee lifecycle processes.
- Ensure employee records and documentation are maintained accurately.
- Assist in employee relations grievance handling and disciplinary processes.
- Support payroll and benefits administration in coordination with Finance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws hotel policies and internal processes.
Qualifications :
- Experience in People & Development / Human Resources preferably within a luxury hotel or lifestyle hospitality environment.
- Good knowledge of HR practices and employee lifecycle processes.
- Strong communication interpersonal and coordination skills.
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
- Ability to work effectively with multicultural teams.
