• KEY OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB

As the Assistant Editor you will be part of the car&bike Editorial team and report to the Senior Editor.

You will be responsible for establishing leading and implementing the editorial content strategy incorporating best editorial practices of car&bike as explained by your reporting manager and key colleagues in the Editorial team.

You will create compelling editorial content (English & Hindi video social media short form content) as well as write regular news analysis and opinion pieces on industry trends segment analysis and opinions for the car&bike website delivering compelling messages to the target audience. The highest editorial standards will need to be maintained in both video and written content.

• MAJOR DELIVERABLES:

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

1. You will assist and support your reporting manager in a way which will be targeted to make car&bike the best content destination and make engaging and relatable content in the most efficient manner.
2. You will take full ownership of your role and ensure that car&bike editorial compliance is followed whether it is creating video scripts storyboards or brainstorming with the Production team to help improve overall video content quality. You will also need to regularly contribute written content for the car&bike website on industry news trends breaking news launches (including pre- and post-launch content) as well as listicles on topical issues/products.
3. You will support your reporting manager in developing a content plan by liaising with other teams to ensure seamless integration between production and editorial teams. This will mean meeting deadlines when it comes to adhering to production schedules preparing scripts and storyboards for video concepts as well as follow up with video editors and review and propose changes to help create the best possible video content.
4. You will develop a plan for social media encompassing all platforms as well as create a plan for blogs (analysis opinion news product reviews etc.) and execute the same.
5. As and when required you will assist other members of the car&bike team and will make yourself available for any shoot where your participation is required.
6. Your primary responsibilities will be to focus on two-wheeler content and help create new standards in this area but it will not be limited to that.
7. . You will also be required to help with the execution of advertorial content projects from time to time as well as participate and contribute to car&bike Editorial led events which will include the annual awards off-road and track events EV drives etc. as and when assigned by your reporting manager.

Graduate

Years and type of experience:

10-15 years in a similar role evaluating two-wheeler products & following industry trends and news.

In-depth understanding of Indian two-wheeler industry products segments & technology
