API Automation Testing

We are seeking a skilled API Automation Tester with a strong background in BFSI projects and hands-on experience in functional database and web services testing. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Selenium automation Agile methodologies and end-to-end testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform API testing for web services and microservices using tools and frameworks aligned with project needs
• Conduct functional testing to validate business logic and application workflows
• Apply complex SQL queries for thorough database testing and data validation
• Utilize Selenium for web application automation and regression testing
• Design and implement automation frameworks tailored to project architecture and structure
• Ensure end-to-end ownership of testing activities from requirement gathering to defect re-testing and final delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality delivery in Agile environments
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning reviews and retrospectives
• Manage test data across different phases of the project lifecycle using effective data management techniques
• Validate web applications and APIs through both manual and automated testing approaches
• Work closely with developers business analysts and stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality goals
• Maintain documentation and reports for test cases defects and automation coverage

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in API Testing and Web Services Automation
• Strong understanding of functional testing concepts
• Background in BFSI domain projects
• Expertise in SQL and database validation
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and automation scripting
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and related tools (e.g. Jira Confluence)
• Ability to manage end-to-end testing lifecycle
• Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills
