Anaplan Support Analyst Model Builder
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Anaplan Platform Support & Operations
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for enterprise Anaplan applications and planning processes.
- Monitor platform health application performance scheduled jobs integrations and business-critical processes.
- Execute operational activities supporting month-end quarter-end forecast and planning cycles.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents support tickets and user-reported issues.
- Perform application health checks and proactively identify risks impacting business operations.
- Ensure platform stability reliability and operational excellence.
- Participate in on-call or business-critical support activities as required.
Integration Monitoring & Data Operations
- Monitor and support Anaplan integrations and automated data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot data load failures integration errors reconciliation issues and process exceptions.
- Partner closely with Data Engineering Integration and Analytics teams to investigate and resolve data-related incidents.
- Validate inbound and outbound data flows between Anaplan and enterprise systems.
- Support operational activities involving:
- CloudWorks
- Anaplan Data Orchestrator (ADO)
- Anaplan Connect
- APIs
- Informatica
- HyperConnect
- Middleware and integration platforms
- Assist in root cause analysis and resolution of recurring integration failures.
- Coordinate integration deployments and testing activities.
- Assist in maintaining integration documentation and operational runbooks.
- Support API-based integrations and troubleshooting connector-related issues working with product vendors as applicable.
User Access & Platform Administration
- Manage user provisioning de-provisioning and security administration.
- Maintain role-based access controls and selective access configurations.
- Support user audits and governance activities.
- Process access requests and ensure compliance with enterprise security policies.
- Assist with tenant administration and platform configuration activities.
Break Fixes & Minor Enhancements
- Implement approved break fixes and production defect resolutions.
- Perform minor model enhancements configuration changes and maintenance activities.

- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production releases.
Model Building & Continuous Improvement
- Support development and enhancement of Anaplan models following PLANS and DISCO best practices.
- Assist Solution Architects and Lead Model Builders with implementation activities.
- Recommend opportunities for process optimization and model performance improvements.
- Contribute to model documentation technical specifications and knowledge repositories.
- Continuously improve support processes operational procedures and platform efficiency.
AI & Productivity Enablement
- Demonstrate an AI-first mindset when performing daily operational and development activities.
- Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT Copilot Gemini or similar technologies to improve:
- Documentation
- Troubleshooting
- Knowledge management
- Test case generation
- Root cause analysis
- Process optimization
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks.
- Contribute ideas for leveraging AI and automation within the Anaplan ecosystem.
- Stay informed about emerging AI technologies and enterprise productivity tools.
Incident Management & Service Excellence
- Manage support requests and incidents within established SLA commitments.
- Provide timely communication and status updates to stakeholders.
- Participate in incident reviews and root cause analysis sessions.
- Develop preventive solutions to reduce recurring production issues.
- Maintain support documentation knowledge articles and operational procedures.
- Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Finance Business Analytics or a related field.
- 25 years of experience supporting enterprise applications Anaplan platforms or business planning systems.
- Anaplan Professional Solution Architect / Level 3 Model Builder Certifications or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting production applications and business-critical processes.
- Strong understanding of:
- Anaplan modeling concepts
- Data integrations
- Platform administration
- User security and access management
- Incident management processes
- Experience working with integration technologies and APIs.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Anaplan Certified Model Builder (Level 2/Level 3 preferred).

- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform Big Query or similar cloud technologies.

- Exposure to Python Power Automate scripting or automation tools.
- Experience using AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT Enterprise Microsoft Copilot Gemini or equivalent platforms.
