Role Overview:
As anAnalyst Pricing Strategy & Operationson the Target Plus team you will support the execution of pricing strategies competitive analysis and operational routines that enable Target Plus tomaintaina strong price position and deliver a compelling value proposition for guests.
In this role you will analyze marketplace pricing data support strategic pricing actionsmonitorprice health and contribute insights that help improve competitiveness and business performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners across Category Merchandising Product Data Science and Operations teams to ensureaccurateimplementation of pricing decisions and support the broader growth of the Target Plus platform.
The ideal candidate is curious data-driven detail-oriented and eager to learn the foundations of pricing strategy and marketplace dynamics.
Role Overview
Pricing Strategy Support
Support the development of pricing strategies by conducting foundational pricing and competitive research across categories and brands.
Assistin building category-level pricing playbooks strategy documents and competitive pricing guardrails.
Helpidentifystrategic pricing opportunities by analyzing assortment gaps seasonal trends and marketplace behaviors.
Contribute to strategic insights by synthesizing pricing trends and sharing implications with business partners.
Stay informed on marketplace trends competitor movements and emerging pricing practices to support long-term strategic planning.
Marketplace Pricing Support
Monitor pricing data and flag variances or gaps in price index across categories.
Assistinmaintainingpricing playbooks and updating seasonal pricing strategies.
Support daily/weekly pricing routines and ensure data accuracy.
Track top-selling items to ensure competitive pricing.
Apply strong attention to detail to ensure pricing accuracy and consistency.
Competitive Intelligence & Insights
Analyze third-party pricing trends and seller behavior.
Prepare reports and dashboards to track pricing performance and competitiveness.
Summarize key pricing changes and share insights with internal teams.
Conduct basic deep dives toidentifypricing issues or opportunities.
Use data storytelling to communicate findings and support decision-making.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Coordinate with internal teams to align pricing actions and data accuracy.
Support pricing initiatives that improve operational efficiency and marketplace performance.
Build strong working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Skills & Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in analytics pricing retailmerchandising or consulting (experience in e-commerce ormarketplacespreferred).
Bachelors degree in business Economics Commerce ora relatedfield.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficiencyin MS Office & O365 (Excel PowerPoint Word SharePoint Forms).
and basic dashboarding tools (e.g. Domo Tableau).
Understanding pricing concepts like price index and elasticity.
Awareness of marketplace dynamics and seller behavior.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present insights and collaborate across teams.
Self-starter with a proactive mindset.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adaptina dynamic environment.
