The AI/Automation Technical Leader AI and Agentic Solutions is a hands-on delivery leader role responsible for designing building deploying and scaling AI- and automation-enabled solutions within Trane Technologies. This role turns business and employee needs into working AI and Automation solutions by designing and delivering agents backend services APIs integrations orchestration logic and reusable technical components

This role requires strong software engineering solution architecture automation and applied AI expertise along with the ability to partner closely with stakeholders to turn business opportunities into production-ready solutions. The individual in this role will help move AI capabilities from concept to production while ensuring solutions are scalable secure reliable maintainable and reusable components that support enterprise adoption.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical practitioner who works on building working software applying emerging AI technologies to practical enterprise use cases and helping shape the engineering practices needed to deliver AI solutions safely and effectively at scale. The candidate works effectively with business and functional teams to shape use cases develop prototypes. This role will use coding assistants and agentic coding practices as part of the delivery process while maintaining quality security reliability and control.

Success in this role will come from delivering production-ready AI solutions that provide real business value while improving the speed quality and repeatability of future AI delivery and the advancement of the organizations AI and automation capabilities

You will apply modern Automation AI coding tools and agentic development practices to real product delivery not just experimentation. You will help determine what works where the risks are how quality should be maintained and how these practices can scale in an enterprise environment.

What you will do:

As AI/Automation Technical Leader AI and Agentic Solutions you will:

• Design build test deploy and support AI- and automation-enabled solutions for enterprise use cases
• Translate product needs business requirements and technical concepts into working software that delivers measurable value
• Design and integrate models agents tools workflows APIs enterprise systems cloud services and user experiences into reliable AI-enabled applications
• Apply emerging AI patterns such as agents tool-calling MCP A2A agent frameworks and context engineering where they create practical value
• Design cloud-based solutions with attention to scalability reliability security maintainability and operational support
• Build solutions using agentic AI capabilities such as agents tool-calling orchestration prompt workflows context management retrieval patterns and human-in-the-loop controls
• Move AI capabilities from concept prototype or pilot into production-ready solutions
• Use coding assistants and agentic coding practices as part of the development and delivery process
• Apply automation and AI engineering practices across solution delivery including reusable services frameworks templates and accelerators
• Establish and share reusable components agent capabilities and engineering patterns that improve the speed quality reliability and consistency of future AI delivery
• Provide technical leadership to other developers by guiding design decisions reviewing implementation approaches mentoring on best practices and helping establish engineering standards

What you will bring:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or equivalent practical work experience
• 12 years of experience in software engineering automation solution development or related technical roles
• 3 years of experience in a technical lead solution lead or senior hands-on IT lead role
• Strong programming experience in one or more modern languages such as Python TypeScript JavaScript Java or C#
• Experience designing building testing deploying and supporting production-grade applications or automation solutions
• Experience building backend services APIs integrations workflows and enterprise application solutions
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure AWS or GCP
• Experience partnering directly with business stakeholders to shape requirements and deliver technical solutions
• Experience providing technical leadership through design guidance mentoring implementation reviews and engineering standards
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance speed quality risk and business value

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building AI-enabled applications using LLMs agents tool use orchestration frameworks retrieval workflows or multi-step reasoning patterns
• Experience applying agentic AI capabilities to enterprise use cases in operations service support engineering HR finance procurement or other corporate functions
• Familiarity with emerging AI patterns such as MCP A2A agent frameworks memory patterns context engineering and evaluation techniques
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems such as ERP CRM HR ITSM collaboration platforms or data platforms
• Understanding of responsible AI security governance compliance and risk considerations in enterprise environments
• Experience developing reusable accelerators frameworks or technical assets that improve delivery consistency and scale
