Job Summary

Morgan Stanleys Wealth Management (WM) Division helps people businesses and institutions build preserve and manage wealth so they can pursue their financial goals. The WM Risk organization is responsible for overseeing the risk and control framework within the WM business unit.

During this internship you will have the opportunity to gain insights into how different risk functions can help the business. You will join one of our teams in Wealth Management covering risks from many different angle (model risk credit risk risks related to data etc). You will be able to work in a flexible work arrangement 20-40 hours per week.

You will:

  • Partner extensively with other teams within and outside the department
  • Perform tasks related to data querying and reporting to provide analytics and insight for various business initiatives and projects
  • Utilize proactive problem-solving and innovative thinking to address challenges
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to highlight important metrics and showcase achievements
  • If you are interested in more quantitative work: potentially perform econometric analyses to support methodology development conduct sensitivity studies assess the model behaviour and stability and perform back tests on pricing or risk models used by Morgan Stanley

You have:

  • Ongoing studies (BSc MSc) in Mathematics Physics Computer Science Data Science Economics Business or similar disciplines
  • Solid technology or quantitative background with good analytical and numerical skills
  • Interest in the financial sector
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal
  • Hands-on experience with SQL R Python or DataIku
