P&C Financial Analyst Intern
Job Summary
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a Senior Business & Planning Analyst you will participate in the overall P&C (non-life insurance)planning and forecasting activities (Strategic Plan Operating Plan FYLU) working on data production and performance analytics under mainly under IFRS17 and Solvency II frameworks.
Responsibilities
Be responsible for the transformation of the underwriting plan from the business into a financial input (CSM):
- Integrate underwriting plan coming from business and allocate charges
- Calculate the discount for the underwriting & operating plan
- Determine the profitability status of new contracts
- Work with the expense team to determine the P&C part of management expenses
Create the underwriting input feeding operating plan calculations
Contribute to the production of the Operating Plan strategic plan and quarterly reforecast (technical financial planning) of the P&C Business Unit (BU) under Baseline Solvency II and IFRS17 on a worldwide perimeter with a strong focus on IFRS17 financials and KPIs.
Contribute to the planning performance analysis
Contribute to the development of new tools to build a more automatic precise and robust process
- Support transversal projects across the team:
Participation in the adaptation of the enhanced KPI framework to P&C planning (performance program)
Participate in various projects within the team especially linked to the evolution of the planning tooling
Qualifications
Required Experiences and competencies:
Experience:
- First experience in Finance or (Re)Insurance would be a plus
Personal competencies:
- Strong interest in financial analysis (KPIs analysis of change)
- You can manipulate analyze and visualize different type of data
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Basic knowledge of IFRS17 and Solvency II would be a plus
- Basic knowledge of data management (especially within Foundry) would be a plus
- Strong collaborative and analytical skills required
- Strong aptitude personality and intellect; common sense and sound basic judgment.
Good communication skills in both French and English as you will work in an international
environment
