Mobile Engineer iOS, tvOS & Android (Google TV)

At Dailymotion we build premium video experiences across all screens including connected TVs. To strengthen our Mobile team we are looking for a versatile and curious engineer comfortable on iOS and/or Android eager to explore both platforms and grow within an intentionally broad scope.

You will join a two-person team of senior engineers (one iOS expert one Android expert) and work directly with the projects Product Manager. The environment is technical collaborative and impact-driven: your contributions will be seen by millions of users.

What you will work on

Connected TV Applications (tvOS & Google TV)

• Contribute to the development and evolution of our Apple TV application (Swift / SwiftUI) and our Google TV application (Kotlin / Jetpack Compose)
• Help deliver a premium big-screen experience with all its specific challenges: focus engine remote control navigation memory management on TV devices

Player SDKs (iOS & Android)

• Contribute to our iOS/tvOS and Android Player SDKs used by publishers and B2B partners worldwide
• Support their stability evolution and the overall developer experience (DX)

Day to day

• Write clean testable and maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
• Work closely with Product and Design to turn complex requirements into elegant solutions
• Develop your dual skill set: consumer-facing UI development and technical SDK/API integration

Qualifications :

What we are looking for

• 2 years of experience in native mobile development (iOS or Android)
• Strong proficiency in Swift or Kotlin with a genuine interest in the other platform
• A versatile generalist mindset: you like understanding the full product you are comfortable switching context and you thrive when the scope is wide
• A strong UI sensibility (SwiftUI / Jetpack Compose) combined with an appetite for deeper technical topics (streaming SDKs B2B integrations)
• Someone who wants to take on the challenge more than someone with a perfect resume: this role is built for an ambitious engineer who is eager to learn fast

Bilingual French / English: French is required for client interactions and some internal meetings; English is the teams primary working language

Nice to have

• Experience building apps for tvOS Android TV or Fire TV
• Familiarity with AVPlayer / HLS or ExoPlayer / Media3
• Background in consumer-facing B2C apps and/or B2B SDK / integration work

Interview process

• HR Interview with Marvin (30 min): Get to know each other discuss your motivations and align on role expectations

• Manager Interview with Jean-Loup your future manager (1 hour): Deep dive into the role requirements assess your technical background and problem-solving approach and challenge your skills through concrete scenarios

• Technical Case Study with Laurent & Geoffrey Senior Mobile Engineers (2 hours) : Present a take-home case study to the two senior engineers on the team. A great way to showcase your technical thinking and get a concrete feel for the work ahead while helping us assess how your skills align with the teams needs.

• Culture Fit Interview with Iryna your future PM (45mn) : Get to know the teams working culture and dynamics exchange  on the product vision and day-to-day realities and assess mutual alignment on values collaboration style and expectations for the role.
