Role Summary
DataForce by TransPerfect is searching for a full-time LLM Data Analyst Lead based in Paris to lead a team delivering complex data annotation for a leading AI Lab. The LLM Data Analyst Lead will own the day-to-day coordination of the on-site annotation team and the quality of its output acting as the operational bridge between the team and the clients quality and engineering functions. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines strong people management with deep data annotation analysis and Large Language Model expertise and who can keep a team aligned and productive on a fast-evolving program.
Role Responsibilities
Lead manage and motivate an on-site team of annotators working on technical annotation owning daily team coordination and overall performance.
Run daily operations: stand-ups and annotator calls task assignment progress and completion tracking shift coordination and follow-through so that assigned work is finished and nothing falls through the gaps.
Own annotation quality end-to-end: make sure the standard operating procedure and guidelines are followed run calibration sessions and targeted refresher training monitor acceptance and rejection rates against targets and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions on recurring errors.
Act as the operational point of contact with the clients quality and engineering teams: align on guidelines and specifications manage the rework loop and escalate ambiguities or contradictions with clear documented evidence.
Maintain daily quality and productivity tracking and reporting and provide clear honest status to the program manager.
Interview test onboard train coach and develop annotators and manage individual performance and feedback.
Keep the team aligned as tools guidelines and the rating scale evolve translating changes into clear and consistent instructions across shifts.
Ensure full adherence to confidentiality and data-handling requirements.
Coordinate internally with DataForces operations and account management team to continuously improve our client services and experience.
Role Requirements
Proven people-management or team-lead experience ideally leading data annotation quality or operations teams.
Strong machine learning and data annotation background: understanding complex annotation workflows reasoning evaluation rubric evaluation agentic workflows labeling tools quality frameworks and metrics and the role of labeled data in the machine-learning lifecycle.
Excellent attention to detail and a structured quality-first approach.
Strong organizational and communication skills comfortable running daily operations and liaising with technical client stakeholders.
Full professional proficiency in English the working language of the project. French knowledge is a strong advantage.
Eligibility to work full-time on-site in Paris.
PhD (in progress or completed) in AI Machine Learning Engineering Computational Linguistics or other related field.
Preferred Role Requirements
Coding knowledge for example Python for scripting data handling quality checks or light automation.
Experience with computer-vision video or robotics annotation.
Familiarity with QC review loops and reviewer calibration.
Proficiency in French.
Experience reporting quality and productivity metrics through spreadsheets or dashboards.
