Description

The Reporting Center of Excellence is an internal advisory team responsible for:

  • Reviewing external disclosures to provide a second line of review and ensure statutory compliance of financial publications
  • Preparing Group Executive Committee (COMEX) and Group Audit Committee presentations on large complex accounting transactions and external reporting as well as contributing to the governance processes over the Group wide accounts.
  • Reviewing complex transactions in line with IFRS and local accounting standards reviewing the business documentation and drafting the corresponding accounting memos in collaboration with business units local teams etc;
  • Monitoring IFRS 17 and local accounting standards developments analysing their impacts and coordinating IFRS or other financial lobbying activities;
  • Preparing and conducting IFRS trainings for the finance community
  • Developing and documenting SCORs accounting interpretations and positions

The CoE is also regularly involved in projects impacting financial reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating producing and presenting the accounting analysis for COMEX and Audit Committee presentations (ad hoc and quarterly close presentations);
  • Assist in investigating and solving IFRS/local Gaap/S2 accounting questions and issues through thorough fact finding research on technical aspects and applying existing SCOR accounting guidance;
  • Support the drafting and implementation of appropriate finance policies and procedures for the production of externally reported information;
  • Contribute to the monitoring of IFRS and local accounting standards developments analysing their impacts for SCOR
  • Support the preparation and participate in conducting IFRS trainings to ensure that the entire finance team globally are adequately trained and maintain core IFRS knowledge;
  • Supporting the preparation of the semiannual report through consistency checks and review


Qualifications
  • Bac 4/5 level (Masters degree) from a university or business school with a major in Finance or Accounting
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office particularly Word and PowerPoint
  • Flexible proactive and responsive to thrive in a constantly evolving environment
