ESET started in 1987 as a project of two young programming enthusiasts who wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. Back then they did not know their program would become one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – NOD.Since then ESET has evolved into the most valuable international brand originating in Slovakia. Our technology protects over 100 million users across the world and receives regular recognition. One of the first came in 1998 - “VB100” award - from the prestigious Virus Bulletin magazine.
