Senior Android Developer (JAVA/KOTLIN)

Job Description

• Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services.
• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Work with outside data sources and APIs.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Translate designs and wire frames into high quality code
• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

Job Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5+ years experience developing Android apps.
• Expert understanding of Java and Android SDK.
• Strong knowledge of Google Material/Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with RESTful API and asynchronous web services.
• Experience with agile scrum methodologies.
• Strong object-oriented and architectural skills.
• Experience working with Android frameworks.
• Experience with mobile app testing and security.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
• Proven work experience in design patterns mobile architecture using frameworks such as MVVM/MVC/MVP
• A problem solver with good analytical skills.

BONUS SKILLS:

• Worked on apps used by a large sector of people in a production environment.
• Have an active Github/Stackoverflow account.
• Have a deep understanding of mobile performance, latency, and security issues.
• Google Maps, with other API integrations familiarity.
