Kafka Administrator

Job Description

• Analyzing and figuring out the system needs of an organization.
• Installing hardware and software for the network.
• Keeping systems operating efficiently by performing any necessary upgrades and repairs.
• Planning a strategy to maintain system security on the computers and the network as a whole.
• Optimizing and evaluating the system regularly.
• Assigning and updating security permissions for the system network.
• Training or directing users on the correct use of software and hardware within the system.
• Performing problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user or monitoring system.

Job Requirements

• Understand the differences between Kafka Confluent and Kafka Cloudera.
• Hands-on experience with administration of open source and Confluent Kafka components:, Kafka connect, Zookeeper schema registry, KSQL, Rest proxy and Kafka Control center.
• Experience in Mirror Kafka Maker or Confluent Replicator .
• Experience in High availability cluster setup, maintenance, and ongoing support.
• Experience in building Kafka pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, Cloud formation templates, shells etc.
• Good understanding of Linux RedHat and Unix operating systems .
• Experience in designing streams-based applications using Kafka or confluent is a plus.
