Main Responsibilities

• You will manage our multidisciplinary Cairo tech team towards excellence in product engineering.
• You will coach the team and help us recognise the leaders of tomorrow.
• You will scale our team helping us to identify the best talent and profiles.
• Work in closely with other engineering leads to improve and implement engineering best practices and tech culture across the company.
• You will participate in projects in many areas of e-commerce such as Logistics, Payments, Finance, and others.
• Ensure scalability, stability, security and performance of the systems and services you own.
• Collaborate closely with product management and other departments to build new products and features that match business requirements with pragmatic technical solutions.
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with a key focus on modern web applications and cloud services
• Experience building large scale distributed systems
• Passionate about building and leading excellent tech teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• You embrace modern engineering practices and have a strong track record of effective communication across engineering, product and business teams
• DevSecOps mindset
• Past experience in Engineering Leadership roles in Large Scale Product Development organisations is a plus;
• Ability to easily build relationships with the different players of the organization, at different levels (from C-level to engineer);
• Knowledge of the Scrum methodology is a Plus.
• Experience managing projects in one or more of the following languages is a plus: Java, NodeJS, Go.
