Job Summary
About the Role
We are looking for an OT Systems Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of production-critical Operational Technology (OT) systems within NOV Subsea Production Systems (SPS) and support our Smart Factory transformation journey.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that OT systems remain stable reliable secure and fit for purpose in daily production operations. You will own the lifecycle of assigned systems including maintenance upgrades troubleshooting documentation and continuous improvement activities.
As the bridge between production automation OT and IT you will work closely with shopfloor teams engineers vendors and Corporate IT to support manufacturing operations while helping drive the future digitalization of our factories.
This is a highly hands-on role with significant visibility and impact offering the opportunity to combine operational ownership with involvement in modern manufacturing technologies and Smart Factory initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete lifecycle of production-critical systems including maintenance upgrades documentation and continuous improvement
- Take ownership of assigned OT systems and ensure their availability stability security and performance
- Act as the primary point of contact for OT system-related topics across manufacturing operations
- Support incident management troubleshooting root cause analysis and problem resolution
- Maintain system documentation governance processes configuration control and change management practices
- Coordinate with Corporate IT on infrastructure hosting cybersecurity Active Directory virtualization and networking topics
- Manage vendor relationships support agreements and escalation paths for assigned systems
- Ensure reliable integration between production systems machines PLCs databases and business applications
- Support operational technology infrastructure including servers virtualization environments and production-critical platforms
- Drive improvements that enhance system reliability data availability maintainability and user experience
Smart Factory & Digitalization Responsibilities
- Support implementation of MES Smart Factory industrial data integration and manufacturing digitalization initiatives
- Participate in OT infrastructure modernization initiatives
- Help establish scalable and sustainable digital manufacturing capabilities across SPS sites
Qualifications & Skills
Essential Qualifications
- Technical degree within Engineering Automation Information Technology Infrastructure or a related discipline
- Experience working with OT/IT infrastructure and production-critical systems
- Good understanding of industrial environments OT systems and operational constraints
- Experience with troubleshooting lifecycle management and operational support of business-critical or production-critical systems
- Ability to coordinate effectively across Production OT teams external vendors and Corporate IT
- Structured proactive and solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance operational priorities with longer-term system improvements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within manufacturing or industrial production environments
- Experience with MES SCADA Historian or other industrial data systems
- Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles and IT/OT segregation
- Experience with documentation governance and system ownership practices
- Experience supporting production-critical environments with high availability requirements
- Familiarity with industrial networking concepts and infrastructure architecture
- Experience working in cross-functional teams digitalization programs or transformation initiatives
- Experience with Windows Server virtualization platforms (such as Hyper-V VMware Nutanix or similar) and Active Directory
