Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
1) Manage External Supplier Material Quality Performance 25%
Review supplier material quality performance in quarterly base make score and feedback to supplier for continuous improvement.
Participate Supplier Business Review and make quality rating to the overall SBR scoring.
Audit supplier in the place to ensure their quality system meet our requirement and drive actions for continuous improvement.
Deep dive to supplier process audit proactively mitigate the risk for better product quality.
2) Drive Supplier for Failure Analysis 25%
- Lead the material level failure analysis and drive supplier to identify the root cause and implement correction and prevention.
- Seek for quick feedback and advice from supplier for in-time affected material containment.
- Cross check with all peers suppliers for critical issues
3) New Supplier Development 20%
Collaborate closely with Procurement and R&D in selection of new supplier to support cost reduction continuous of supply and new design project.
Lead the supplier qualification to ensure they meet our basic quality system requirement.
Develop supplier capability and bridge the technical conversation between supplier and R&D to align the product roadmap.
4) Supplier Change Management 10%
Ensure supplier sign back the SPCN agreement.
Review supplier part/product/process change request and coordinate with internal functions for risk assessment.
Work with Procurement and R&D to find alternative solution in case of any material EOL
5) Supplier Authorized Material Qualification 20%
Align with internal functions for the qualification plan of new part.
Guide and review supplier first article report.
Add new authorized part number on Agile
Qualification & Requirements
BS degree in engineering of corresponding materials. Advanced educational qualifications will be a plus.
6 years of experience in related material management
Proficient in suitable quality tools such as 8D MSA SPC DOE FEMA etc. ASQ 6 Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus
Familiar with various quality systems such as ISO9001/14000
Familiar with industry standard such as GR1221 GR468 MIL-883
Rich experience in passive optics components such as Isolator fiber array Collimator Lens array Optics coating Prism PBS
Good understanding and knowledge of above components manufacturing process testing and product & inspection specification requirement.
Experience supporting NPI Projects and NPI supplier qualification
Ability to work highly independently with minimal guidance from supervisors on specific tasks.
Excels in a cross-organizational cross cultural global team environment.
Quick response and stable performance under pressure.
Ability 30% time travel to suppliers COHERENT facilities and other worldwide locations when necessary
Able to support a flexible work schedule due to collaboration with multiple worldwide facilities
