Wedding & Special Events Coordinator
Job Summary
At Fairmont Banff Springs the Wedding & Special Events Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the planning coordination and execution of weddings resort events and seasonal guest experiences. This hybrid position provides operational administrative and on-site event support across Wedding Conference Services and Adventure & Experiences adapting to seasonal business needs throughout the year. The successful candidate is highly organized guest-focused and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with internal teams vendors and partners to deliver exceptional and memorable events.
Competitive Salary: $55000 - $58000 gross annually based on previous experience & education
Your Job Duties Include:
- Coordinate and support weddings resort events activations and seasonal programming from planning through execution ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth operations.
- Prepare and organize event documentation including BEOs contracts resumes schedules and operational communications while maintaining accurate records and event files.
- Collaborate with internal departments vendors entertainers and external partners to coordinate logistics timelines food & beverage requirements audiovisual needs and operational details.
- Provide administrative and on-site operational support for weddings holiday programming special projects and resort events including walkthroughs tastings site visits and event-day coordination.
- Deliver professional engaging and personalized guest service while supporting event marketing updates operational supplies management and cross-department communication.
Qualifications :
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality weddings conference services event coordination or guest experiences preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized detail-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service focus with a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Professional and collaborative approach with the ability to build strong working relationships across departments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Hospitality Event Management or related education considered an asset.
