Purpose
Lead the Property Accountingteamresponsible forAlliedsnational portfolio of urban workspace.As Vice President Property Accounting you will provide strategic and operational leadershipfor theproperty accountingfunctionwhile supportingaccuratereporting informeddecision-makingand strong financial performance across the portfolio.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer you will collaborate closely with teams across Finance and Accounting Leasing Operations and Construction. This role is well suited to a collaborative and technically strong accounting leader who is passionate about developing people strengtheningprocessesand building high-performing teams.
Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development

  • Leadmentorand develop the Property Accounting team.

  • Foster a collaborative accountable and high-performing team environment focused on continuous improvement and professional growth.

  • Ensure effective team structure workloadallocationand resourcing.

  • Identifyopportunities to enhance processesandsystems to support operational effectiveness.

Property Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Oversee monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes including month-end and quarter-end close activities.

  • Review and analyze key financial reporting and performance metrics including base rent analysis funds from operations (FFO) same asset net operating income (SANOI) netoperating income (NOI) adjusted funds from operations (AFFO) and key balance sheet metrics.

  • Oversee the annual recovery reconciliation process including audited statements tenantreconciliationsand related financial analysis.

  • Oversee thetimelyfiling of HST GST QST and other government remittances including support for sales tax audits and related matters for joint arrangements.

  • Review statements of adjustments and post-closing adjustments related toinvestments.

  • Liaise with internal and external auditors on controls auditrequestsand audit findings.

Financial Planning and Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Support the FP&A team in the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes by providing property-level financial analysis operationalinsightand accountingexpertise.

  • Collaborate with FP&A Leasing and Operations teams to support budgeting assumptions financialanalysisand reporting deliverables.

  • Review and provide input on key budget and reforecast metrics including NOI FFO AFFO SANOI and variance analysis.

  • Contribute to quarterly external reporting through financial analysiscommentaryand operational insights.

  • Build strong working relationships across the organization to support informed decision-makingalignmentand continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • CPA designationrequired.

  • 10years of progressive experience in accounting and finance within commercial real estate or property accounting.

  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience including full-cycle accounting processes.

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.

  • Experience supporting budgeting and reforecasting processes in partnership with FP&A and operational teams.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.

  • Strong analyticalproblem-solvingand organizational skills witha high levelof attention to detail.

  • Experience with Yardi or similar property accounting systems is considered an asset.
