Verafin – Senior Software Developer (Data Lakes Infrastructure)

Werelooking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Data Lakes Infrastructure team reporting to The Director of Software Development.Youllplay a critical role in building and scaling Nasdaqs big data pipeline infrastructure to support business-critical insights. You will design implement andoptimizedata lake solutions that power global markets.

What Youll Do

• Develop andoptimizedata pipelines using big data technologies to ensure accuracy consistency and performance.

• Design scalable solutions for extracting transforming and loading unstructured data for analysis.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features and resolve technical challenges.

• Monitor data pipelineinfrastructureperformanceand implement improvements that support scalability.

What Youll Bring

• Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.

• 2 years of hands-on experience with data platforms analytics or cloud environments.

• Proficiencywith AWS (including EMR) big data tools data lakes and SQL-based databases.

• Working knowledge ofinfrastructure-as-code tools such as TerraformPythonand Java with experience in ETL workflows.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities in a collaborative environment.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with cloud security architecture and AWS services.

• Prior experience supporting production-grade systems in cloud environments.

This position willbe located inSt. Johns and Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office subject to change providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
