What Youll Do
Set the technical direction for cloud security across our AWS environment guiding how security is built into platform engineering and development workflows.
Design and scale enterprise-grade security controls including identity boundariescloud securitystandards and policy enforcement frameworks.
Serve asthesenior technicalexpert on the Cloud Security teamreviewing security risks andhelping teams build secure-by-default systems.
Own and drive high-impact security initiatives such as compliance strategy implementation cloud risk reduction programs and next-generation security platform development.
What Youll Bring
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of software engineering experience with deepexpertisein cloud security and cloud-native architecture.
Proventrack recordof delivering complex cross-functional security initiatives with measurable outcomes.
Strong ability toinfluenceand informleadershipon security decisionsmentor developersand serve as a subject-matter expert across multiple engineering domains.
Clear communicator who can translate security concepts for both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
Experience in financial services fintech or regulated industries.
Relevant cloud or security certifications (e.g. AWS Security Specialty CISSP CCSP).
Hands-on experience withsecurity standard creation threat detection tooling or AI-driven security practices.
This position willbe located inSt. Johns or Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office subject to change providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $140000 - $196000. In addition to base salary Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive) and equity (long-term incentive) comprehensive benefits and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to: skill set experience education/training business needs and market demands.Required Experience:
