Job Description:

Reviews analyzes and evaluates credit applications in accordance with policy and procedures to authorize credit for customers within designated discretionary lending limits. Collaborates with various business partners by providing professional credit support / solutions / recommendations and advice through the credit adjudication process.

Key Accountabilities:

Customer:

  • Ensure all credit decisions (approval / decline) within assigned limits are fulfilled on a broad range of credit products efficiently and effectively meeting service level agreements (SLAs)

  • Provide credit support / solutions / recommendations / advice / alternative options when evaluating/analyzing credit applications for decisions in accordance with Bank policies and procedures

  • Ensure customer concerns / issues are handled appropriately and resolved in a timely manner escalate when required

  • Positively contribute to the overall customer experience and foster good relationships with internal and external partners

  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the customer experience within the Business Area

  • Create and/or recognize exceptional customer service through established programs

Shareholder:

  • Prioritize and manage own daily workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity

  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where required

  • Make well rationalized credit decisions within established standards and limits and adjudicate within compliance guideline

  • Contribute to the achievement of satisfactory audits by understanding & following audit and process guidelines

  • Ensure credit underwriting / adjudication is completed accurately and properly to reflect business intentions and is consistent with relevant rules / regulations

  • Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keep abreast of emerging credit underwriting / adjudication trends

  • Protect the interests of the organization identify and manage risks and escalate non-standard high risk activities as necessary

  • Acquire maintain and apply Credit and Risk expertise in the discipline of lending provide guidance assistance and direction to others

  • Keep abreast of emerging issues trends and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts

  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

  • Perform due diligence in support of all credit applications

Breadth & Depth:

  • Professional level role with a focus on performing credit underwriting / adjudication on a range of complex credit products

  • Provides authorization required for credit adjudication based on the Banks Discretionary Lending limits criteria

  • Advanced knowledge on credit products end-to-end credit processes and systems for own specialized area

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of the operating environment business process and procedures and transaction lifecycle for own area (e.g. processing environment applications software hardware products)

  • Advanced level knowledge with related training and/or related experience or skills

  • Ability to execute on routine requests

  • Identifies key operational / reporting / process issues for own area

  • Provides thorough analysis and/or specialized reporting or operational/process support

  • Requires advanced understanding of the overall function and/or businesses supported

  • Requires moderate understanding of complexity in operational / reporting / process and/or analysis function

  • May lead small scale initiatives or work stream packages for assigned area

  • Completes work within specifically defined parameters with guidance / direction from management as necessary

  • Generally reports to Team Manager; May report to the Group Manager

Experience & Education:

  • Undergraduate degree and/or

  • 3 years relevant experience

Work Shift Information:

  • Must be flexible to work 8 hour shifts between 6:00 AM up to 8:00 PM with a Saturday rotation

  • Minimum 2 Days Per Month in Office at present. Workplace Model subject to future evolution based on real estate capacity and business needs (e.g. 2 - 4 days a week in office)
