The Opportunity

Working closely with other underwriters and agency advisors youll be responsible for adhering to underwriting guidelines procedures and regulations. You will balance the members needs as well as business objectives to ensure profitable growth and underwriting excellence.

How Youll Make an Impact

  • Use sound judgement and reasoning to make informed risk selection decisions.
  • Verify policy transactions and make necessary adjustments immediately and effectively communicate to Agency and members.
  • Identify and obtain additional information required to conduct a proper risk analysis.
  • Responsible for delivering service that supports our TYLF (Treat You Like Friends & Family) culture while ensuring underwriting integrity
  • Communicate decisions in an empathetic and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with Underwriting teams Claims Agency and other internal departments to improve relations and achieve common goals.
  • Provide prompt consistent and exceptional service.
  • Confidently respond to and resolve inquiries.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Bonus points for related post-secondary education and/or industry certifications like a CIP designation
  • 1-3 years of experience in an insurance-related role is considered an asset
