RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
The Tremplin Consortium supports the career and professional development (CPD) and career preparedness of biomedical graduate trainees and postdoctoral fellows across affiliated research centres through training networking and experiential learning opportunities. Reporting to the Tremplin Manager and the Principal Investigator the Coordinator will contribute to the coordination facilitation evaluation and continuous improvement of Tremplin activities in Knowledge Translation/Mobilization Research Management and Faculty Track Networking and central consortium programming. Approximately half of the role will be dedicated to supporting the development of a new Business of Science initiative focused on research valorization and commercialization including the coordination of a multi-stakeholder committee and the production of reusable e-learning resources. The Coordinator will work closely with trainees researchers speakers research centres incubators and other partners to support high-quality program delivery and strengthen the integration of Tremplin activities across participating research environments.

General Duties
1. Coordination and Operational Support
Provide operational and activity coordination support to Tremplin pillar leads for the delivery of CPD activities in Knowledge Translation/Mobilization Research Management and Faculty Track the Tremplin Ambassador Program networking and other consortium-wide initiatives.
Execute activity-related administrative requirements including catering invoices purchase requests and on-site event support.
Identify operational challenges emerging needs and potential solutions and provide recommendations to the Tremplin Manager.
Maintain effective working relationships with trainees researchers speakers research centres and institutional and external partners.
2. Business of Science / Research Valorization and Commercialization Initiative
Coordinate the development and implementation of a new Business of Science training initiative for biomedical graduate trainees and postdoctoral fellows under the direction of Tremplin Consortium leadership.
Support the establishment and ongoing coordination of a multi-stakeholder program committee including identifying potential members coordinating participation organizing meetings documenting decisions and tracking deliverables.
Research and identify potential subject-matter experts organizations research centres incubators and other relevant contributors and partners and provide recommendations to the Tremplin Manager.
Coordinate outreach scheduling and participation of experts contributing to the development of the program.
Coordinate the production of reusable e-learning resources including organizing and recording expert interviews and panel discussions and coordinating with internal or outsourced technical resources for production.
Maintain organized project documentation and content-development workflows to support the timely production review and implementation of learning resources.
Support the integration of the resulting training activities and resources within participating research environments.

Required Skills

Advanced knowledge of oral and written French is required.
An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required as the position requires regular and complex contact with patients researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English.

Additional information

Status: Temporary full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: 50960.00$ - 94658.20$ Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
Work Site: 2155 Guy Street
This position offers the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement (on-site and remote).
