Treasury Specialist (Contract)

As Treasury Specialist youll help maintain the integrity of AlayaCares banking and treasury processes ensuring financial data is accurate complete and reliable across our global operations.

Reporting to the Director Finance youll work closely with the Finance team and cross-functional stakeholders on bank reconciliations discrepancy resolution and the migration and validation of financial data across multiple entities and currencies. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with complex datasets investigating issues to identify root causes and improving processes to strengthen data accuracy and financial controls.

This role is a 12 month contract.

• Complete bank reconciliations across AlayaCares operating entities and accounts.
• Investigate discrepancies between bank statements accounting records and financial systems.
• Ensure banking transactions are accurately recorded and classified in the general ledger.
• Validate financial data migrations to improve accuracy and system integrity.
• Perform data quality checks to identify gaps errors and reconciliation issues.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve financial data issues.
• Support system testing audit requests reporting and treasury-related projects.
• Improve treasury processes documentation and controls for greater efficiency and scalability.

• A bachelors degree in accounting finance business administration or a related field.
• Three to five years of experience in treasury accounting financial operations or a related Finance function.
• Demonstrated experience completing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger processes.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience with financial data migration system implementation or enterprise resource planning transitions.
• Strong analytical problem-solving communication and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of AI tools and the ability to apply them responsibly to improve day-to-day work.
• Experience with NetSuite or other enterprise resource planning systems is an asset.
• Experience supporting multiple entities currencies or international operations is an asset.

This role is a 12 month contract position based in Toronto. At AlayaCare our hybrid model includes 2 set in-office collaboration days/week and it is expected that team members are present in the office on those days to foster connection innovation and teamwork.
