Treasury Operations Analyst
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Lead Treasury Operations and Financing the Treasury Analyst is responsible for ensuring the effective execution of head office banking operations and acting as the primary support resource for the companys affiliates and banking partners. The role also includes the preparation of treasury reports ensuring compliance with internal controls and applicable requirements and supporting the day-to-day administration of the receivables sales program. The analyst is also expected to participate in continuous process improvement projects.
Responsibilities and challenges
- Prepare fund transfers and electronic payments for derivative and foreign exchange settlements through various banking platforms and the treasury management system.
- Monitor these transfers and ensure their accurate execution including maintaining supporting documentation and records.
- Maintain up-to-date bank account listings related information and settlement instructions.
- Review and confirm derivative and foreign exchange transactions in Bloomberg.
- Process bank fees related to letters of credit interest and principal payments on external debt as well as settlements related to the receivables sales program.
- Co-administer banking platforms and the treasury management system and participate in the development and optimization of related processes and policies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls treasury policies and applicable requirements related to banking operations and financing programs.
- Prepare periodic treasury analyses and reports (payments affiliate liquidity positions global liquidity external debt).
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses as required by management and business partners.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives including process automation process simplification and the integration of financial tools.
- Participate in the administration and ongoing monitoring of the receivables sales program.
Minimum Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in treasury within an international environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of REVAL or another Treasury Management System is an asset.
- Knowledge of Python programming is an asset.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent team player with strong collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
