This multidisciplinary team leads the delivery of civil and track worksleveragingglobalexpertiseto introduce innovative solutions across the GO Transit network.
What Youll Do:
Supervise all on-site activities related toconstruction demolition utilityinstallationsand experience in leading infrastructure projects including bridgesrailand structures
Help with the preparation of supporting documentation including bill of materials databases testing plans schedules and related contract documents.
Ensure work is carried out according to project plans specifications and timelines.
Keep daily records and logsin accordance withCompany and regulatory requirements.
Monitor project progress andmake adjustmentsas necessary to ensuretimelycompletion.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure all workers adhere to safety standards devise and implement site policies and procedures.
Conduct regular project inspections and maintenance of systems and equipment.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensuretimelydelivery of materials and services.
Manage on-site resources efficiently including labor materials and equipment.
Comply withall relevant regulatory and corporate policies and procedures as well as ensure that staff have proper licenses and qualifications for the work assigned.
Understand and abide by all Ministry ofLabour(MOL) regulations including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
Ensure systems are in place to manage project site safety and environmental concerns (ex. Safetyplan JSA process pre-job meetings etc.).
Travel to project sites asrequired.
What You Bring:
8-10 years minimum in a supervisory position within the construction industry: civil rail bridgestunnelsetc.
Construction site experiencerequired
Experience with the interpretation of and adherence with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Act.
Experience with and understanding of Engineering tools/equipment automated systems remote tooling systems
Excellent Computer skills includingproficiencyin MS Office (Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work the project schedule which may include weekends and/or night shifts
Flexibility to work in both field and office
Expected compensation for this role is between $130000-$170000annually. Base salaries aredeterminedaccording to multiple factors including skillsexperienceand potential impact on the role.
