QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Ability to accurately test products for consistency with specifications.

• Good verbal and written communication skill.

• Quality Assurance training.

• Working with hand tools

DESIRABLE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

(Optional) Preferred but not required

• Electrical/mechanical experience is an asset

• Previous test lab related experience is an asset

• Previous machine shop experience is an asset

• Automotive manufacturing experience

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Compensation: $65000 - 70000 annually

• Schedules and performs various product testing including weld testing with available equipment.

• Maintain knowledge of Mytox Lab Manual pertaining to Lab ISO/QS 9000 TS16949:2002 AIAG standards customer standards safety standards.

• Make pass or fail recommendations on tests in accordance with set standards/specifications.

• Carry out continual conformance testing for the engineering quality and production department.

• Safe operation and maintenance of test equipment and measuring instruments to prevent costly damage to prototypes and equipment.

• Responsible to protect own health and safety by working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures.

• Troubleshooting of test lab equipment -- current and preventative.

• Conducts analysis of test samples

• Assign priorities and schedules tests.

• Perform testing for PPAP and DVP R.

• Read and become knowledgeable with specifications and standards.

• Accurately report test results and advise corrective actions.

• Perform environmental testing durability testing salt spray testing static/dynamic load testing and weld testing*.

• Support prototype build.

• Complete technical writing test reports summaries and presentations
