Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As aTechnician Branch Maintenanceyoullplay a critical role in ensuringVancitysbranches and commercial premises are safe secure sustainable and welcoming for members and staff. This role ishandsâonandimpactâdriven supportingdayâtoâdayoperations by responding to maintenance needs coordinating technical work and contributing to efficientwellâ for a practicalserviceâorientedprofessional who takes pride in quality work and thrives in afastâpacedonâsiteenvironment.
This is afullâtime permanentrole based atVancity branch locationsand will report directly to theTeam Manager Building Maintenance.This role is4 days a week a Tuesday to Fridayshift.
How Youll Make an Impact:
- Responding to building service requestsin a timely mannerusing the Fixâitworkorder system
- Planning and scheduling regular maintenance visits across assigned branch locations
- Performing and coordinating technical maintenance work in line with established standards
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory safety and security requirements
- Troubleshooting maintenance issues to reduce operational risk and downtime
- Supporting sustainable and efficient building operations
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and systems
- Collaborating with internal teams and external service providers to meet business needs
- Demonstratingtechnicalproficiencyin Direct Digital Control (DDC) building automation systems and service request/ticketing platforms (e.g. Facilities or CMMS systems) for effective monitoring troubleshooting and work order management.
WhatYoullBring to the Team:
- Completion of a recognized technical trade or facilitiesârelated education program
- A minimum of 24 years of experience in building maintenance facilities operations or a related technical role
- Demonstrated experience performing handsâon maintenance in commercial or multiâsite environments
- Working knowledge of building systems safety practices and maintenance standards
- Experience using work order or maintenance management systems
- Validdriverslicense clean drivingrecordand current drivers abstract. Ability to travel between branch locations asrequired
- Relevant trade certifications or licenses are considered an asset
- Organizedand able to make effective planning and scheduling decisions and manage work tickets on your own.

WhatYoullEarn:
This role offers a salary range ofâ$55300to $68250per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications skillspreviousexperience and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program subject to program eligibility requirements.
