Job Summary

Position: Technical Lead / Senior Developer

Location: Toronto

Work Model: hybrid

Duration: 5 Months

A brief Job Description: We need a hands-on Technical Lead responsible for architecture development and validating technical stories.

Skills required and Qualifications:

- 7 years of software development experience with at least 2 years in a lead capacity.
- Strong demonstrable experience with AWS services - Lambda MSK/Kafka API Gateway S3 DynamoDB or similar.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs and event-driven systems.
- Hands-on ETL pipeline development experience.
- Proficient in at least one of: Java Python or .
- Experience with Kafka or equivalent messaging platforms (MSK Confluent etc.).
- Able to operate across both technical delivery and stakeholder/programme engagement layers.

What This Role Is Not :

This is not a role where the Tech Lead absorbs BSA responsibilities. User story creation is owned by the BSA; the Tech Lead validates not authors.
Candidates who are unwilling to engage in programme meetings or prefer a purely heads-down delivery role will not be the right fit.

Preferred :

Banking or financial services delivery experience.
Familiarity with schema registry Kafka Connect or SOAP/legacy API integration patterns.
Experience with IaC tooling (Terraform CDK) and CI/CD pipelines.
Prior experience working alongside technically-grounded BSAs in an Agile squad model.
