Job Summary

This position is responsible for developing coordinating and delivering comprehensive systems furniture installation training programs for installers and customers across North America. This role dynamically supports the Training and Service Department balances instructional responsibilities with field installation support warranty/claims resolutions and continuous improvement of product documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and update training materials video scripts presentations and learning assessments for new product launches and existing product updates.
  • Collaborate with Managers Engineers and Designers to design order and finalize training setups.
  • Supervise mock-up installations report product issues and ensure proper storage and transportation of products.
  • Conduct in-class and practical training sessions at the various training facilities throughout the United States and Canada.
  • Manage and coordinate training This includes; registering participants preparing and arranging for translation of documents as well as arranging and collecting payments.
  • Coordinate contract services for product packaging crate building and logistics order and distribute training materials (handouts name tags) and arranging catering if required.
  • Assess and grade installer performance against certification Process photo IDs generate electronic ID cards issue certificates and maintain an up-to-date database.
  • Create and publish the Teknion Installation Support (TIS) e-Newsletter.
  • Arrange and deliver custom on-site or corporate facility training sessions.
  • Provide remote as well as on-site technical support to resolve any issues or challenges.
  • Support the customer service and claims teams as required by answering questions verifying information and addressing warranty issues.
  • Conduct investigate and properly document on-site inspections and prepare the necessary reports for the relevant business units.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering and Quality departments to track and ensure any issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a minimum of 5 years experience in furniture installation
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills and strong organizational and time management skills
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
  • Must be willing and able to travel into the United States and Canada with occasional international trips
  • Must be willing and able to travel on short notice and occasionally for extended periods of time.

The expected base salary range for this position $65.650 - $82050. Final base salary offers will reflect an assessment of the selected candidates skills demonstrated competencies and adherence to our internal pay equity framework.
